Warlawurru Catholic School

'Ngawi ngan yura, kiningi ngan yura’

Because of God’s goodness our hearts are good

Warlawurru Catholic School

The Warlawurru is seen as parallel to God’s spirit caring for His people like the eagle gently hovering over its young.

The History of Warlawurru Catholic School

Warlawurru Catholic School is situated at the Lunja Community Reserve, Red Hill, 2.5km from Halls Creek.

The Lunja Community first voiced and recorded the need for a school of their own at a Leadership course at Daly River in November 1980. For some time, the community found little support to their request due to the proximity of the local State School.
